About Me

Jaia Nurit Niborski

The passion of Jaia Niborski for singing began in San Carlos de Bariloche, the Argentinian Patagonia, where she took her first singing lessons with Gabriela Lambardi. In 2018, she graduated with honours as BA in Classical Singing at the National University of the Arts under Eduardo Cogorno’s teachings and she complemented her studies of vocal technique with Lucia Boero. From 2016 to 2018, she was part of Estudio Coral de Buenos Aires, conducted by Carlos López Puccio.

Since her relocation in Europe in 2018, Jaia has been singing as a soloist in ensembles such as Cappella Mediterranea, La Chapelle Harmonique, Los Elementos Domus Artis and Ensemble Cantatio.

Jaia is an artist with great affinity and passion for the baroque vocal repertoire of the 17th and 18th centuries, although her musical curiosities range from renaissance to contemporary music. She is enthusiastic about the beauty and about the expressive capacity of the voice together with the body on stage.

In 2024 she was a finalist of the International Baroque Singing Competition “Caffarelli» in Bari (Italy) and also in Kattenburg Voice Competition in Lausanne (Switzerland).

As for the contemporary repertoire, she performed the title role (Tobias) in the world premiere of the opera Los Niños de Sal, by Carlos Mora (2014) and Jehanne, opéra de château, by Jimena Marazzi (2021).
